What we are in the process of setting up a valuation service that gives you an online/post valuation in a form of a certificate which will be a paid for service for which we will soon be outlining the service and fees so watch this space.

WHY BOTHER TO PAY FOR A VALUATION SERVICE WHEN I CAN JUST LOOK ON EBAY OR TALK TO OTHER DEALER/S?

 This is a good question because our specially designed programme looks at current market price/s as is does not just take the highest or lowest price out there in the market, it looks at the whole broad spetrum of prices so the price we offer is the true balanced market price, there is a major point to remember when selling that is, some dealers who you contact look to make high margin of profit on your collection, we have been out to a customers before and we offered double or more for their collection even though the customers expectations were less.   we are a family business and care about people. Many who contact us are elderly or someone who has lost there loved one and we need to do our best for them.  Nothing of course is stopping you from just going to other dealer/s, auction houses or online auction site and yes on certain product some dealer/s will pay more for a specific product of they want it but what we offer is a balanced broad spectrum of valuation which is the current market value so if someones offers you more than old football programmes, that is great but it will be above the current market prices as we have invested in the technology to search this information out but you must also consider the dealer/s mark ups. 

HOW LONG IS THE VALUATION CERTIFICATE VALID FOR?

Because price/s move all the time in the market place we offer a 12 month guarantee from the  date on the certificate that your item/s are purchased 15% below market value, if you choose not to sell them straight away, you are under obligation to sell anything as you have upto 52 weeks to decide after the valuation date which gives you peace of mind.

 

 

I HAD A VALUATION FOR MY COLLECTION HOW DO I GO ABOUT SELLING THE ITEM/S OR COLLECTION TO YOU?

This we feel is the sensible way to go in these current market conditions as it locks in the valuation for your item/s for a small fee and we will offer you 15% under the valuation fee quoted to you and you will also recieved an online/postal certificate depending on the service paid for which will show your item/s worth and you can store the document/s away for safe keeping until you decide what you want to do with your collection and if you do decide to sell it, then the same rules apply regarding payment time and sending the item/s to us as normal.

WHAT IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO VALUED ITEM/S?

 If this is the case we will offer you full or partial refund depending on the number of item/s that we could not value, our database is constantly growing daily.

AFTER I SOLD MY COLLECTION I HAD VALUED CAN YOU SELL IT HIGHER THAN YOU VALUED IT?

Of course we can as we reserve the right to sell your programme/s for above the current market value rather than the valuation tool.

 

I`M NOT INTERESTED IN A VALUATION HOW DO I GO ABOUT SELLING MY FOOTBALL COLLECTION?

From time to time a people for whatever reasons decide to sell there memorabilia collection and are not sure what to do, well at old football programmes this is where our team is ready to step in and help you but firstly you need to email or call us to give us a basic breakdown of your football collection below:-

5. What is your expectation in value for your memorabilia collection?

(Now i know this sounds a little silly but we have been trading since 2003 and we get so many people wanting to sell there memorabilia collections everyday that if we investigated every collection 

we would never sell anything from our website so we need to focus our attention on the genuine sellers please, customers need to be aware we use a special programme designed over years to price your collection so we sell at a competitive price on our website and buy at a competitive price)

6. What is the condition of your memorabilia collection?

(It is important you give us the all the correct information because when it come to viewing the collection it will be based on your estimated condition).

SURELY I`M BETTER OFF SELLING ON EBAY/OTHER AUCTION SITES OR AUCTION HOUSE THAN YOU?

Well because we have been trading since 2003/over 11 years we are in a position to advise you on your collections better than most people in the market and auction houses and even tho there are traders out there who have been trading longer than us, mostly only specialise of specific team and years and they not match the investment we have made in the technology to offer you the best prices according to current market values by our specially designed programme. Where a auction house mainly has specialist/s who have a limited knowledge on broad range of products you are selling. If you do sell your item/s through a auction/s or auction sites you will pay high fees with no guarantees that your item is going to sell because if there are no buyer/s at the time of selling could lose a lot of potential money so you will hit both ways.  we at Old Football Programmes give you a fair buying price according to current market conditions for your product/s so selling to us cuts our the worry and also the buying and selling costs that is occurred threw Auction houses and sites.

 

WE HAVE AGREED A PRICE FOR MY COLLECTION WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Having agreed on a price we now need to get your collections to us for a inspection to make sure that the condition is as stated before payment can be made and if on the odd occasion a client has missed item/s of value then we will raise our offer to the customer because we believe in fair trade and want sellers to be happy whuch can be done in several ways below:-

1. You can of course send your collection to us yourself and we will reimburse your sending costs and on the completion of inspection

 and postage costs will be added to the offer for the collection (But please be aware on the odd occasion this will already be included in the price for your collection and the customer will be informed before dispatching the item/s to us if this is the case).

2. We can send a courier to you to pick the goods up or because we all live busy lives and do not have the time to sit in and wait for courier we can email you a pre-paid label to stick on your box/s and drop off your items to a Hermes/UPS dropoff point (90% of the population live within 2 miles of a dropoff point and we will give you the shop/business address to drop your parcel/s off to.

3. We can of course visit you but we are business based in West Sussex and in some cases it make sense to send it as a Parcel/Courier service.

 

I`M SCARED OF SENDING MY MEMORABILIA COLLECTION AS THE VALUE IS VERY HIGH AND I`M NOT SURE ABOUT DOING THIS?

Now let be truthfull there are websites not just in the football industry that prey on the expectation of people by offering them unrealistic prices duping the customer into thinking they are getting a massive deal, only to find once the goods have been sent the comunications stop and no payment is sent and an example of this and it was heavily publisised in the media was the scrap gold market there is a famous saying "if it is too true to be good then it is", We have been trading since 2003 and only offer what we feel is a fair market price and yes we have to make a profit too so we don`t give you a inflated price just to steal your goods and to prove that we are in the process of joining a safe site certification for peace of mind for you the customer so rest assured we will look after you as our reputation rests on it.

 

HOW DO I KNOW YOU RECEIVED MY COLLECTION OK?

We do this with all collection/s sent to us we ask that all item/s are sent tracked and signed for so the customer has peace of mind the goods are safe in transit and arrive safely to Old Football Programmes and you the customer can see proof of delivery for added peace of mind.

HOW LONG FROM RECEIPT OF SENT GOODS DO WE RECEIVE PAYMENT?

  At old football programmes we try to do a quick turn round as possible this is good for us as we can get on wiith selling the products and good for you the customer as you get paid of course, so we try to make sure the customer recieve the fund within 7 days by cheque or even quicker by pay pal but it will of course depend on inspection of the goods on arrival and everything is in order to proceed to payment stage. 

WE AGREED A PRICE AND I SENT THE COLLECTION BUT WAS LOST IN TRANSIT TO YOU AM I OUT OF POCKET?

Now we are not going to lie to you and say a parcel has never gone missing in transit to us, but the only time this has happened is when we purchased programmes from a football stadium for the value of £500 and i'm happy to say we received full compensation for this from the courier firm , but we are glad to say we have never had a memorabilia collection of missing in the 11 years of trading for which a customer has sent to us via the postal system, so if you want peace of mind, there you have it, of course ther is always a first time for everything and if this happens then we will put in claim and seek full value for your collection and we also have a legal team which we can call on as well and also in some cases depending on value of your collection we will choose to settle with you to save time and pursue the courier firm in question so whatever happens we are on your side and will do do our best but we cannot guarantee 100% that we will give you full value for your collection if it gets lost as it is down to the insurance firm we pay the fees to refund the lossel, but no collection upto now has gone missing, we can say you are on a fairy safe ground here that  everything will be ok.


 

 

Do you send out a monthly Catalogue?

The simple answer is no, we try to do our part for the Eco Systems and if you keep pumping out catalogue every month that a lot of trees so we have sent the printing option to print out what you need so if you want the whole stock printout you can or just a couple of items you can as well and it saves on ink too.

How do i know the item/s have been sent?

This is simple because most orders are sent by Royal Mail or Courier so we always get a proof of posting which can be emailed to you on request if you are worried in anyway, but tracking is available on other paid services should you require them.

How can I Search for item(s)?

We at Old Football Programmes have tried to cater for all tastes so there are many ways of searching so try a few out and find the best that suits you.

Option 1: You can search your item by selecting the Home or Away Team or both, this is mainly for if you are searching for a specific Programme then this is a very good option for example if you select a home team only Arsenal and press the spy glass it will bring up @37 Pages and then you can either click through the pages and select the amount of items you want displayed on the screen upto 144 items or you can select other options on the left hand side by seasons the choice is yours.

Option 2: You can just type the item you are searching for in the search box under the home and away search box and press the spy glass and this will bring up all the items up for the keywords you put in the search box.

Option 3:  You Can Select a Green Tab for the item you are looking for and then the Sub category required and then you can scroll through the pages accordingly and set the page display to your preference.

Option 4: At the bottom of the website you have various other sections which is called products and popular programmes and you can select one of these options and then have the option of selecting seasons.

When I place an order how long will it take to arrive?

All orders are normally processed on the same day but always on the next available working day and is sent out first class delivery post so 2-4 working days is good guide but there are other options available and if it is a quick late idea it always best to call us and we can give you a more exact delivery date.

Is the site secure for making my Credit Card payment?

Yes it is because we use a secure portal Sage Page that offers the best encryption on the market so no worries about fraud.

Are all you contact details on the Website?

We at Old Football Programmes pride ourselves on the fact that we have a dedicated Customer Care Line and also Email and Mobile for additional support and address details is displayed clearly so the customer has reassurance from start to finish.

What methods of payment can I use?

On Old Football Programmes website you can use Visa Debit/Mastercard/Amex And Pay Pal. These options cover most bases but you can also select other payment method e.g. by Email Button and then you can send a cheque or cash but we recommend to send it registered mail for added protection.

How do I know you are real company and not a fraudster and selling item/s you don`t have?

We been trading since 2003 and we always advises when placing any web based order for the first time that you phone the company to make sure the order has been processed ok. We send you a order confirmation via email and our contact details are always on hand if you still feel unsure. It's always great to have a chat with you so I can find out if we can help you further.

We never sell stock we don`t have and in the event we cannot locate the item in our warehouse we will always refund your money straight back to you and compensate you on your next order.

I think the postage costs are a bit high?

We at Old Football Programmes try to get the balance between price and quality which can be hard as we wrap all our items in bubble wrap and place in a hard backed envelope or box, we don't cut corners because some of theses items are one offs and the Postman can be not the best caring person for your precious item`s so we give the added insurance but quality packing so rather than just putting in any old envelope to look good on the postage costs we go the extra mile but if there is excessive postage charged by the website we always refund the different back to the customer either by the paid card or pay pal as happy customers are key to us.

I've seen the programme cheaper on another website?

Well we at Old Football Programmes pride ourselves on being fairly well priced in the market and we use a computer programme to calculate our current prices but because we go the extra mile on displaying our item`s correctly it is hard to complete with a dealer who doesn't make the effort we do however phone us up or email and we will always look at price matching providing the correct details are provided.

Will the item I have purchased be the item I receive?

Now I know this sounds a silly question and yes I been burnt many times myself over the years buying, you go to a website see the item you want and purchase and it has no picture but says excellent condition and when it arrives it nothing like the description this can be because some dealers have multi copies and don`t make the effort to display the item properly sometime cheap doesn`t mean you get a good deal and in life your only get what you pay for that's why we introduced photo of items and the more expensive ones there will be multi picture and you can zoom in to make a buying decision on your potential purchase but on the odd occasion because of many thousands of orders we have done, we have made the odd mistake but we at Old Football Programmes will offer a full refund or a replacement where possible if you are now happy in anyway and this can be done by contacting us and remember you have full consumer rights under consumer goods act.

What if our goods go missing in the post will I be protected?

We At Old Football Programmes take missing goods seriously and although very rare because we always take proof of posting on all goods dispatched or tracking numbers on paid services we will carry out an investigation into your lost order, we also take insurance incase item`s does go missing which means you as a customer are protected and replacements can be sent once a reasonable period of time has been given for the goods to arrive, but in event fraud and someone signing for the goods and the customer claiming they haven't received the goods we will always involve the Police as this is a fraud matter but under the consumer goods act protection is provided and once the matter has been cleared up satisfactory a replacement will then be sent or money refunded but we will always prosecute on deliberate fraud and only happened once since 2003 and we always make checks if we think an order is suspicions.

Is The Item Pictured On The Old Football Programme Site Of The Product/s Shown?

Now I know this sounds a bit silly but you would be very surprised how many Football Websites to save time on uploading a new picture`s they just use the same picture`s for the last item they have sold, we at Old Football Programmes spend the extra time making sure all products that are one off items also have there individual picture attached as well, so basically what you see is what you get and with our larger images you will be able to make correct purchasing decision every time.

WHEN I LOOK AT THE ITEMS ON THE WEBSITE ALOT OF PRODUCTS ARE OUT OF STOCK?

The reason there is alot of products are out of stock is because we will be providing match information as well so the site can not only be for buying but also as a point of reference as well for the Football fan so please bear in mind whilst it is under construction.

WHEN WILL ALL THE MATCH INFORMATION BE FINISHED?

This is ongoing process and as of 04/05/2017 we are still updating this but will take a long time, but we aim to have all match information for Finals/Semi Finals by the end of 2017 hopefully and maybe some more information as this is for the Football Fan.
